(Jazzpoint, 1991) and Giraffes In a Hurry (B+W Music, 1995) this is the third offering from the "acoustic but slightly amplified chamber-pot jazz" duo of Matthew Brubeck (cello) and David Widelock (guitar). Since 1988 this pair has been mining the "less is more" format of the duo. Both are capable of playing themes, soloing, and providing accompaniment.

Charles Matthew "Matt" Brubeck (born May 9, 1961) is an American cellist, bassist, keyboardist, composer and arranger. He is both a performer of classical music and jazz and rock. Matt Brubeck was born in Norwalk, Connecticut. The youngest son of legendary jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, he started playing piano at the age of three

Turning to solo guitar, David recorded two solo acoustic albums, "The Trouble With Fribbles" and "Memories of A Surprise", mixing originals with Brazilian tunes, and tunes from the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Peter Gabriel. He returend to the trio format with the 2009 album "Skating on the Sidewalk" featuring Jim Kassis on drums and Fred Randolph on bass. As a composer David is the author of over fifty jazz tunes for small ensembles
