Sorni Nai" - the band's most mature work to date - is a concept album that references and expands upon territory explored in their previous work ("Pirut"), showcasing a single 52-minute long track, twisting through lush string orchestrations into sinister and operatic doom metal. The album's concept focuses on the infamous Djatlov Pass Incident. Highly demanded second pressing of Kauan's incredibly lush 7th album, ruminating on the subject of the infamous Djatlov Pass Incident. 4-panel reverse-board, rough-coated digipack. 12-panel offset-paper rough-coated booklet, featuring additional artwork, unique to the CD release.

Are some represses done in a "less basic form?" Perhaps the author means the post-rock, doom on this album is "done in a more basic form. What ever is "done in a more basic form" is unclear. Would like clarification from someone who knows please.

Kauan, a doom metal/post-rock outfit from Chelyabinsk, Russia intends to fill the gaps that perplexed investigators with their own creative flair. For a band that is known for crafting delicate yet vast soundscapes, this is itself a jarring turn towards the macabre, yet it remains aptly fitting given their penchant for storytelling. Anyone who listened to Pirut knows that Kauan are more about the journey rather than the destination, and that really is what makes this concept album work so well

The album is a dedication to the infamous Djatlov Pass Incident. Released on CD and digitally on October 20th, 2015 through Blood Music (Finland/USA). Adnan Bec. 3 years ago. I've been a Kauan listener for years and have to admit: This is by far their best album. it felt like I was part of it. This is music, thank you Kauan.

the most prized item in my collection (for various reasons i wont dive into) musically, its my 3rd all time favorite album and a masterpiece. Vinyl sounds great, but you just have to make sure its nice and clean before spinning because its not the loudest. Color looks absolutely incredible, and fits with the album aesthetic and themes perfectly.
