Stone Free" is a song written by Jimi Hendrix and the second song recorded by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It has been described as a "counterculture anthem, with its lyrics praising the footloose and fancy-free life", which reflected Hendrix's restless lifestyle. Instrumentally, the song has a strong rhythmic drive provided by drummer Mitch Mitchell with harmonic support by bassist Noel Redding
MCA continued the series of definitive masters of the Jimi Hendrix catalogue in 2000, releasing the self-titled box set The Jimi Hendrix Experience, consisting of four discs. The material includes alternative recordings, live performances and some rarities. Although most of the material had been released in earlier compilations, some previously unreleased material (such as live versions of "Killing Floor" and "The Wind Cries Mary") was also included.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Produced by Chas Chandler. Album Smash Hits (UK Version). Everyday in the week, I'm in a different city If I stay too long, the people try to pull me down, you know what I mean? They talk about me like a dog, talk about the clothes I wear But they don't realize they're the ones who's square. Stone free I'm right now Stone free Don't turn on me back Stone free I'm going on down the highway, yeah Stone free Got to, got to, got to, got to, got to Stone free Ooh hell, bye bye baby Stone free Aw. More on Genius. Stone Free" Track Info. Written By Jimi Hendrix.

Lyrics to "If 6 Was 9" song by The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Yeah Sing the song, bro If the sun refused to shine I don't mind, I don't mind (Yeah) If the mounta. Got my own world to look through and uh And I ain't gonna copy you. Yes, now if six turned out to be nine I don't mind, I don't mind If all the hippies cut off all their hair I don't care, I don't care, dig. 'Cause I got my own world to live through and uh And I ain't gonna copy you. White collared conservative flashing down the street Pointing their plastic finger at me, huh They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high, high, oh.

Jimi Hendrix was a curious mixture of instinctive genius and crippling perfectionism. The guitarist took two years to make three landmark studio LPs - Are You Experienced?, Axis: Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland, a blizzard of magic - then spent two more trying to complete a fourth, still unfinished at his death in September 1970. But his legacy also includes thirty years of bootlegs, a long shelf of archival releases, and now The Jimi Hendrix Experience, a four-CD windfall of stage and studio rarities, most previously unissued. And in all of this music, you hear marvelous details of Hendrix’s working life, his daily pursuit of electric salvation. In addition to its unreleased treasures, The Jimi Hendrix Experience restores to print crucial gems buried on long-deleted Seventies packages like Loose Ends and Hendrix in the West. But the real power of this box is not in its collector’s-item quotient.
