Hank Williams! Yes, Please! No Thanks. The Legendary Hank Williams His Greatest Songs.

The Complete Hank Williams is an award-winning 1998 box set collecting almost all of the recorded works of country music legend Hank Williams, from his first recorded track in 1947 to the last session prior to his untimely death in 1953 at the age of 29. While a number of live and overdubbed songs are excluded, the ten disc collection contains 225 tracks, including studio sessions, live performances and demos. Among those 225 songs are 33 hit singles and 53 previously unreleased tracks.

Thus, Prism was able to include the hits "Move It on Over," "Honky Tonkin'," "I'm a Long Gone Daddy," "Mansion on the Hill," "Lovesick Blues," and "Never Again (Will I Knock on Your Door)," but the other 16 tracks on the disc were non-hits from early in Williams' career.

Hiram King "Hank" Williams (September 17, 1923 – January 1, 1953) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. Regarded as one of the most significant and influential American singers and songwriters of the 20th century, Williams recorded 35 singles (five released posthumously) that reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart, including 11 that ranked number one (three posthumously).

When British budget reissue label Prism Leisure came to assemble this Hank Williams compilation in 1999, the label was restricted to using only Williams' earliest recordings.

Jackson also tackled Hank Williams J. s The Blues Man, and even released it as a single off of the album. It peaked at the 37th spot on the charts, but what’s even more remarkable is what Jackson did with the song at the 2000 ACM Awards. Jackson charmed the crowd as he sang The Blues Man, which shows off his range and gave him the chance to hit some really low notes
