On the Berlin-recorded Endless Flowers, it’s hard not to feel that the circles on Welchez and Rowell’s thematic Venn diagram have been forced together this time around to produce maximum overlap. This self-produced offering has a sunnier disposition than its predecessors, and the recurrent "flower" motif - symbolic of love, death and fragile beauty - provides the album with lyrical focus and continuity. Crucially, their bold decision to expand to a five-piece also delivers sonic cohesion, allowing one propulsive, hook-filled tune to bleed seamlessly into the next.

Endless Flowers is an album of summer anthems for those who like their beach days mixed in with a good dose of torrential summer downpours. 7 people found this helpful. This great album kicks off with the title track & Flowers' which is quite near to perfect pop with fuzzy guitars. Sunday' has one of those riffs you just want to do an indie club dance to and opens with the line 'Its Sunday and the World Loves itself' and I love this track. Third track & Black Clouds for Dee De' slows things down as this is a bit of a love ode to his main woman and front person Dee Dee Penny of the Dum Dum Girls.

San Diego indie rockers Crocodiles are about to follow up their 2010 record Sleep Forever with their third LP, Endless Flowers, which is out on June 5th. The group’s first LP for new label Frenchkiss is filled with hooky, fuzz-bombed cuts like the title track and Sunday (Psychic Conversation as well as standouts like the peppy, swooning ode No Black Clouds for Dee Dee and the grit-flecked sweetness of Bubblegum Trash.
