Again" is a song by American rock musician Lenny Kravitz, being the only new song from his first Greatest Hits album, released in 2000. Written, arranged and produced by himself, "Again" was initially set to be on his sixth studio album, however, Kravitz found out that the song didn't fit the tone of the album, releasing it as the lead-single from the compilation on September 14, 2000 through Virgin Records.

Again (Lenny Kravitz song). Again" is a song by American rock musician Lenny Kravitz, being the only new song from his first Greatest Hits album, released in 2000. The mid-tempo rock ballad finds Kravitz wondering if he will ever see his former lover again and if they will reunite once more.

Produced by Lenny Kravitz. All of my life Where have you been I wonder if I'll ever see you again? And if that day comes I know we could win I wonder if I'll ever see you again? A sacred gift of heaven For better worse, wherever And I would never let somebody break you down Until you cried, never.

It's enough to make 5 sound relatively fresh, at least compared to the retro dead-end of Circus, yet it sounds like Kravitz read about the idea of electronica without actually listening to any music. Anemic synths and stilted drum loops (sampled from Kravitz's playing, not old records) are scattered throughout the record, along with vaguely distorted vocals. It's not enough to make Kravitz sound hip, especially since he still loves endless funk jams and electric sitars, but it does revitalize his sound. At least for a little while.

Album: Greatest Hits (2000). Charted: 4. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. Kravitz shows his butt in the video, which features actress Gina Gershon and model Teresa Lourenco. Directed by Paul Hunter, Gershon plays his girlfriend and Lourenco is a waitress that has him enamored. Kravitz spends most of the video dreaming about Lourenco and wondering if he'll ever see her again. This was intended for an album of original songs, but Kravitz felt it didn't fit the tone of the album and allowed it to be released with his Greatest Hits. This won the 2000 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
