Album · 1988 · 18 Songs. Gord's Gold, Vol. 2 Gordon Lightfoot.
fazendo referência a Gord's Gold Volume II, CD, Album, CD 25784. I'm a die hard Gordon Lightfoot fan and I don't know what to say! This is a badly misjudged project. Pointless re-recordings with his current live band and a somewhat desperate attempt to match the success achieved by the 1970's double album Gords Gold. You know the saying if you've got nothing nice to say say nothing? I'm saying nothing.
Gord's Gold, Vol. 2 is a compilation album released by Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot in 1988. Like the first Gord's Gold collection, Vol. 2 features re-recordings of earlier hits alongside the contemporary material. On Gord's Gold only the early songs that didn't match Lightfoot's 1970s sound (and whose original masters were owned by Lightfoot's former label, United Artists) were re-recorded.
This outstanding album is a compilation of Lightfoot's very best songs up to the time of its original release as an LP (1975). The CD contains 11 songs originally recorded at United Artists (two as medleys) and 12 songs from his first five albums at Warner Brothers/Reprise.
Gord's Gold Volume II. Gordon Lightfoot. Exclusive Prime pricing. Gord's Gold Volume II. "Please retry". This album has terrible sound. Its very tinny and distant. Nothing like Gord's Gold vol 1 or If You Could Read My Mind. I was very disappointed with it. Lightfoot should re release this after firing his producer as there are several great songs on it.
Old Dan's Records is Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot's ninth original album, released in 1972 on the Reprise Records label . Авторы текста и музыки. Gord's Gold is a compilation album released by Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot in 1975. Originally a vinyl double album, it was reissued on CD in 1987 (with one track, "Affair on 8th Avenue", omitted to allow the collection to fit onto a single disc). The first Lightfoot compilation to feature music from his 1970s Reprise Records albums, Gord's Gold also includes re-recorded versions of several songs from his 1960s United Artists output (tracks 1-10). In 1988 Lightfoot released a second volume, Gord's Gold, Vol. 2, which also featured re-recordings of earlier hits. On February 6, 2012, Lightfoot was presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. June of that year saw his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
