Their brand-new album, The White Death is Fleurety’s third full-length studio release marks almost two decades since the release of Department of Apocalyptic Affairs, and shows the band returning to the style of the legendary debut Min Tid Skal Komme (1995); however, this time more experimental, sarcastic and concise. As a result, The White Death captures a darker and more disturbing version of Fleurety than ever before, embracing the strange and the abstract to create a wholly unconventional yet often poignant opus, both deep and raw in its expression

Min Tid Skal Komme is one of those surreal pieces that stands out simply because of how loose and easy Fleurety plays with black metal's typical toolset. From how much I compared this to Written in Waters by Ved Buens Ende, Fleurety's first album does stand on its own very well. It's one of those albums whose peers are distant and few in number. It's a progressive exercise in black metal's more virtuoso side with a sedate and ghostly feel to it. It's a strange, beautiful album that goes best with low lights and high precipitation

Min tid skal komme (1995) by Fleurety. Labels: Aesthetic Death. Genres: Black Metal, Progressive Metal. Songs: Fragmenter av en fortid, En skikkelse i horisonten, Hvileløs?, Englers piler har ingen brodd, Fragmenter av en fremtid. Members: Svein Egil Hatlevik, Alexander Nordgaren.

There's no getting around it: Fleurety was a strange band, and Min Tid Skal Komme, their first full-length, is a strange album. This is clear from the opening minutes of the first track, "Fragmenter av en Fortid. It begins with soft acoustic guitar strumming, down-tempo drumming, and jazzy fretless bass gurgling before slowly easing its way into more distinctly metal territory, with double-bass drumming; distorted, tremolo-picked guitar playing; and finally (after about four minutes), grim, shrieking black metal vocals.

Min Tid Skal Komme" is the debut full-length studio album by Norwegian black metal act Fleurety. The band released a demo called "Black Snow" in 1993 and an EP in 1994 called "A Darker Shade Of Evil". Its safe to say that my interest in the band wasnt too ecstatic after listening to those two releases so therefore it was a great surprise when I put this album on for the first time. The style of music is still black metal but lots of melodic elements are now a part of the sound.

Fleurety has been getting on the tits of the Underground metal scene since day one. They were one of the original avantgarde metal bands in underground metal scene. Along with fellow Norwegians Ved buens ende and Arcturus, and Ulver they gave us this album in what was a scene full of satanists, odhinists playing very loud thrashing mega fast metal. Unlike Arcturus who used alot of keyboards, sound effects and strange guitar sounds to create an avantgarde sound, Fleurety, like Ved buens ende used a more minimalistic, genre crossing approach, hence making them very unpopular with underground scene at the time.Min Tid skall Komme is still a black metal album by root. They use the usual dry guitaring sound and occasion midpaced blast beat, and aggressive vocal delivery, but thrown into the mix they is alot of calm almost psychodelic moments. The album begins with Fragementer... which starts with an acoustic guitar, drums and bass guitar played in a very lounge music way. This style of psychodelic lounge rock is used in and out of of the whole album, and then to throw people of the black metal track totaly they were aided by a Norwegian pop singer 'Marian Aas Hansen'.What also made this different from the rest of the Norwegian scene was the use of bass guitar. Like Ved Buens Ende, it is used to good effect, and actually helped alot when creating some groove to the tracks, and the drums.....they have a nice clean sound almost like you're in the studio with them. You can hear the reverb on the tom drums it's that fresh. The keyboards were used to a minimul making the actual instruments do the work to create an odd sound .What was nice about this album was every track was different. For example out of 5 tracks, one was an instrumental metal track, and the last one was almost entirely acoustic and drum. Each track had plenty of tempo change, toe tapping rhythems, but with Black metal aggression to please the metal fans. And it doesn't feel a long album either.
