Weekapaug Groove - Phish from the album Slip, Stitch and Pass.

Features Song Lyrics for Phish's Slip, Stitch and Pass album.

Spanning two discs, A Live One had the scope of a Phish concert but there's actually more adventure and surprise on Slip, Stitch & Pass, whether it's in the group's improvisations or the inventive cover of Talking Heads' "Cities. It's not the kind of record that will convert the skeptical - there are simply too many long, involved instrumental passages that many doubters will label "indulgent" - but it's the closest Phish has come to capturing their live spirit on record.

Slip Stitch and Pass is the second official live album by the American rock band Phish. It was released on October 28, 1997, by Elektra Records and has nine tracks from the band's March 1, 1997, show at the Markthalle Hamburg in Hamburg, Germany, which was part of Phish's 1997 European Tour. The album marked the first time that concert staples "Mike's Song" and "Weekapaug Groove" had appeared on an official Phish release, despite both having been part of the band's repertoire since the 1980s

Slip Stitch and Pass is the second official live album by the American rock band Phish. Three of the album's nine songs are cover songs: "Cities" from Talking Heads, "Jesus Just Left Chicago" from ZZ Top and the traditional a cappella standard "Hello My Baby". modificato over 7 years ago riferendosi a Slip Stitch And Pass, CD, Album, 62121-2. This release is a shining gem amongst Phish's often justifiably ridiculed and disrespected discography. Needless to say they were a "live band", and their coinciding and required physical media accompaniments were hardly a true representation of their spectacular and cohesive musical prowess which was evident during their live concerts. However, releases like "A Live One", and this release, "Slip Stitch and Pass", are invaluable aural documents of the accomplishments of this band. This particular one is a bit more refined than "A Live One" and was also produced better. Plus they have a Talking Heads cover AND an acapella track.

Slip Stitch & Pass is Phish’s second live album and was originally released on October 28, 1997. The LP contains highlights from the quartet’s March 1, 1997 performance at the Markthalle in Hamburg. Phish had previously announced plans to sell Slip, Stitch & Pass on vinyl during their Curveball festival but the event was canceled. The Record Store Day Black Friday release of the album is coming on double two-color splatter vinyl with 6,000 copies up for sale. Other RSD Black Friday 2018 vinyl releases include Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds‘ DMBLive . 2.

Slip, Stitch, and Pass" makes for a good start, however, given that the sound quality of the recording is particularly high (not all live Phish albums can boast this to the same degree). Furthermore, all of Phish's most recent studio albums were represented evenly, along with some covers and some tracks that did not appear on any studio album.
