Doris Day's Sentimental Journey is studio album by American singer Doris Day, released by Columbia Records on July 12, 1965 as a monophonic LP (catalog number CL-2360) and a stereophonic album (catalog number CS-9160). The album gets its title from Doris Day's first big hit, "Sentimental Journey," which she performed as a part of the band Les Brown and His Band of Renown in 1945, and consists mostly of pop standards, principally composed in the 1940s, approximately contemporaneously with that song.

Day by Day is a Doris Day album released by Columbia Records on December 17, 1956. The title is an obvious pun, both meaning "on a daily basis" (as implied in the song title) and "(Doris) Day, in the daytime" (and thus leading to a later album entitled Day by Night). The album was issued as Columbia catalog CL-942. All tracks have vocals by Day accompanied by Paul Weston's orchestra.

What Might Have Been. Crooks UK. Album Are We All the Same Distance Apart. What Might Have Been Lyrics. I know you're with me It burns my hands as I write And I will stay at your faith You beg you're losing your mind And if it kills me I'll write the words in my death I am so set in stone and buried under your chest. And please forgive me I beg I'm trembling at the thought of you again And on the day you forgot that I'm still here I might hate myself now I swear you said I'd be somebody else And I'm the way you forgot that I'm still here It doesn't matter what I say You're the heart. that's in me (You're the heart that's in me). And your song rings sweetly in my ear I guess I was never there How you sang for me to disappear And your song rings sweetly in my ear I guess I was never there How you sang for me to disappear

Doris Day, who will be best remembered as the blonde, helmet-haired, th-him star of 1950s and ’60s romantic comedies with magnificent animated title sequences, hadn’t Brando’s ambition or depth, but she could hold an audience as well as anyone. In 1975’s Doris Day: Her Own Story, a collaborative tell-all written by A. E. Hotchner, Jack Lemmon calls her a method actress even though she never went to the Actors Studio or studied Stanislavsky, and Rock Hudson – the Tracy to Day’s Hepburn, at least on screen – calls her an Actors Studio all by herself. You have a natural thing there in you, should no one ever disturb. Day felt it too: Movie acting came to me with greater ease and naturalness than anything else I had ever done. It might have been a thankless part for Day – the movie was really a Ginger Rogers vehicle – if Alfred Hitchcock hadn’t seen her in it.

Should I paint pictures? Should I sing songs?" This was her wise reply. Doris Day sings a portion of "Que Sera Sera" to David Niven who plays her character's husband in the 1960 film "Please Don't Eat the Daisies". She sings it again in the 1966 film "The Glass Bottom Boat". After reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100, "Que Sera, Sera" became Doris Day's signature song, and was used as the theme song of "The Doris Day Show" from 1968 to 1973. 100 Songs" ranked this song number 48 of top tunes in American cinema.
