John Altman Big Band plays I Wish I Knew by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon, arranged by John Altman.

Hear My Train A Comin'" (alternatively titled "Get My Heart Back Together") is a blues-based song written by Jimi Hendrix. Lyrically, it was inspired by earlier American spirituals and blues songs which use a train metaphor to represent salvation. Hendrix recorded the song in live, studio, and impromptu settings several times between 1967 and 1970, but never completed it to his satisfaction.

He's won BAFTA's and EMMY's  . 1997 Titanic (producer: "Valse Septembre", "Wedding Dance", "Sphinx", "Vision Of Salome", "Alexander's Ragtime Band"). 1995 Le confessionnal (performer: "Concerto in C minor"). 1979 Monty Python's Life of Brian (arranger: "Bright Side Of Life").

By their fifth album, Kiss were the most popular band in America, with sold-out stadium tours and eventually their own pinball machine, makeup line and a TV movie. Built around the proto power ballad Beth, this is a ridiculously over-the-top party-rock album that just gets better with age. Listen here. Their previous album, V. made Pearl Jam the most successful band in the world. They celebrated by suing Ticketmaster and making Vitalogy, where their mastery of rock’s past and future became complete. Soulful ballads like Nothingman are matched by hardcore-influenced rockers such as Spin the Black Circle.

Pretty in Pink (1986) John Hughes’ use of music was so distinct and masterful that to this day, lazy music writers can describe something as sounding like it belongs in a John Hughes movie and you know exactly what they mean. And out of all his soundtracks, Pretty in Pink is perhaps the John Hughes-iest, full of New Wave classics worthy of its record store-clerk heroine. The movie even takes its name from the Psychedelic Furs track it opens with. Although the song didn’t push the band to stardom, it does continue to draw ears to Bow Wow Wow’s modest but punchy catalog. And you still hear the influence of songs like (I’m a) TV Savage and Louis Quatorze on modern indie rock today. You could hear the sarcasm and confidence in her voice on songs like Pussy Strut and the title track, with the always killer line: What’s a girl to do? Scream and screw?

Maybe you’ll hear a song or artist you haven’t heard before and find yourself pleasantly surprised. Probably you haven’t heard some of the songs for quite a while and it makes you feel good to hear them again. 8 – To be with you – Mr. Big. 9 – Under the bridge (acoustic) – Red Hot Chili Peppers – Tabs. 10 – Working class hero – John Lennon – Tabs.

John during a recording session for the album "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". I maintain that the Beatles weren't the leaders of the generation but the spokesmen. You can still hear the brilliance and innovation on 'Sgt. Pepper', and the songs on it are mostly excellent (I never particularly cared for George's more Hindu-influenced, sitar dominated Beatles songs, and "When I'm Sixty-Four" seems a little cutesy). Pepper' is indeed a grand work of art - I just feel that most of the songs, while top-notch, do not convey the same depth of feeling as the ones on 'Rubber Soul', 'Revolver' and the 'White Album'  . I really, really love all the songs of this amazing album!!! coolbeanie 9 Sep 2009. My first Beatles album.
