The version side credits Sunshine Band. I'm not comfortable assuming it's the same Sunshine Band that backed the Chosen Few, etc. until someone else can lock that down.

Speak & Spell is the debut studio album by English electronic music band Depeche Mode. It was released on 5 October 1981 by Mute Records. It was the band's only album to feature Vince Clarke, and as a result, is much lighter in tone than their subsequent releases. The album peaked at number 10 on the UK Albums Chart, and was ranked number 991 in the 2000 book All-Time Top 1000 Albums.

He returned from a jaunt overseas where he'd similarly lucked into a movie with Barry Humphries, and saw no reason not to do the same thing here. My thoughts, and I'm sure those of all his many friends, go out to Helen and his two wonderful, talented daughters Lorin and Lucia. I'm shattered, and all too aware that his passing leaves a vast gap in the life of so many New Zealanders and Australians that can never be filled. Vince Clarke (born Vincent John Martin; 3 July 1960) is an English synth-pop musician and songwriter. Clarke has been the main composer and musician of the band Erasure since its inception in 1985, and was previously the main songwriter of several groups, including Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and the Assembly. Vincent John Martin was born in South Woodford, Essex and then he moved to Basildon, Essex.

One of Jamaica's most outstanding vocal talents, Johnny Clarke has never achieved the international acclaim of some of his compatriots, and he even fell from favor in his homeland in the 1980s. However, in his heyday, during the mid- through late '70s, the singer recorded a stream of crucial cuts, as well as a bundle of seminal albums. The only reason it received somewhat less acclaim than his Front Line albums is because people were still raving about them, particularly Rockers Time Now. However, Don't Stay Out Late features such seminal songs as "Judgement Day" and "Blood Dunza.
