Tonic is a live album by experimental jazz fusion trio Medeski Martin & Wood recorded at Tonic in New York City from March 16–20 and 23-26, 1999. Medeski Martin & Wood played their first live performance at Tonic on July 4, 1998, not long after the club opened in the Spring of 1998. Like their first album, Notes from the Underground, Tonic was recorded in their original acoustic format: piano, bass and drums

Medeski, Martin & Wood. Ultimately, what transpires on Radiolarians II is the notion of song. Certainly these tunes are played with great instrumental technique and musical acumen, but they are performed with the full intent of the listener's participation in the experience because each cut is so utterly memorable on its own. Chalk this one up as a must-have for longtime fans of MM&W, and an excellent introduction to what this group does best - making jazz both provocative and fun. Track Listing.

Radiolarians II is a music studio album recording by MEDESKI MARTIN & WOOD (Jazz ive Rock) released in 2009 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Only for completionists (0%). The renowned keyboard-bass-drum combo from Brooklyn continues to defy anything approaching conventional logic, and at this stage in the band's ongoing two-decade long career I'm ready to admit they can do no wrong.

Artist: Medeski Martin & Wood Album: Radiolarians II Genre: Modern Creative, Post-Bop, Jazz-Funk Label: Indirecto Records Released: 2009 Quality: FLAC (image+. cue) Tracklist: Flat Tires. Recorded last summer, Radiolarians II demonstrates MMW's bold and wild side. Strong rock riffs and hooks butt up against noise, and classic jazz seamlessly. The jazz tunes on this record feel fresh, yet familiar. Radiolarians II is scheduled for an April 14, 2009 release.

Play full-length songs from Radiolarians II by Medeski, Martin and Wood on your phone, computer and home audio system with Napster. For their Radiolarians series, MMW write tunes quickly and only start recording after they've worked them over on the road. The result here mixes raw, dirty scuzz-funk with deftly melodic acoustic jazz. It's how they roll these aspects together that makes their music so special (even a classic juke joint piano number like "Riffin' Ed" contains rumbles of apocalyptic electro-funk).
