Ward Churchill is co-director of the American Indian Movement of Colorado, Vice Chairperson of the American Anti-Defamation Council, past National Spokesperson for the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee, and an associate professor of American Indian Studies and Communications at the University of Colorado/Boulder. This lecture was recorded on September 15th, 2000 at the Doing Time conference held at the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Canada.
Churchill& writings are mostly about the history of the American Indians and what he calls the genocide on the indigenous people of North America. An essay of him where he claimed the 9/11 attacks on the world trade center were a response to America& foreign policy, sparked American Indian writer, political activist and former professor of ethnic studies in Colorado at Boulder from 1990 till 2007. Ward LeRoy Churchill (born October 2, 1947) is an American writer and political activist. He was a professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1990 to 2007. In 2009 a Colorado jury found that Churchill had been wrongly fired. Doing Time: The Politics of Imprisonment.
