This explains why pink noise is sometimes referred as "1/f noise. In terms of decibels, this decrease corresponds to 3 dB per octave on the magnitude spectrum. The name of the color comes from visible light that turns pink when a similar spectral distribution is applied.

Pink noise or 1⁄f noise is a signal or process with a frequency spectrum such that the power spectral density (energy or power per frequency interval) is inversely proportional to the frequency of the signal. Pink noise is the most common signal in biological systems. In pink noise, each octave (halving/doubling in frequency) carries an equal amount of noise energy. The name arises from the pink appearance of visible light with this power spectrum.

In Figure 2, surprisingly, even though the 909 Ω compensation resistor is the lowest value because of noise gain from that node to the output, it contributes the most noise at the Figure 2 output. Output noise due to R1 is 40 nV/√Hz, for R2, 1. nV/√Hz, and for R3, 42 nV/√Hz. So don’t use a resistor.

White and pink aren’t the only types of noise, but you needn’t worry about the other colours in this context. So, how exactly do we make this pink noise work to our advantage when mixing? The idea is that you use a noise generator (I’ll recommend a free one in a moment) to create the pink noise, and calibrate it so that, at the stereo bus, it registers a sensible average level for mixing on your meters.

The white-noise output is random (.

At Demolandia we are enthusiasts of technology, lovers of high quality and fidelity, that we have decided to facilitate to our users the use of the maximum potential of their audiovisual devices and provide them with such an amazing vision of the history and evolution of these technologies. Therefore, if you are one of those who checks each label (Dolby, THX, DTS) in the equipment boxes, movies, DVD, Blu-Rays or video games you acquire, you have come to the right place.

We are locally successful mostly-electronic experimental group from Moscow, Russia. Turn on your imagination while watching that parking at night and listening to Pink Noise's "Intermezzo" track. Some more pinknoise here: pinknoise. Pink Noise updated their cover photo.
