Josh Rouse (born March 9, 1972) is an American folk/roots pop singer-songwriter. Originally from Nebraska, Rouse began his recording career in Nashville in 1998 and later relocated to Spain. In 2014, Rouse won a Spanish Goya Film Award in the category of Best Original Song for "Do You Really Want To Be In Love?" from the motion picture La Gran Familia Española.
Adding more colors to his palette, including horns and strings, Rouse seems intent on beefing up his sound. But he doesn't exactly break out of his trademark ethereal vibe, which causes the album to drag at times.

Following his time at Austin Peay State University, he eventually settled down in Tennessee, where he met some local musicians and began recording.
Josh Rouse is one of the best young songwriters making music right now, and he seems to be just hitting his stride. Get yourself a copy of Bedroom to hear brilliance in bloom (and so you can brag about hearing him before he sold out and got fat). But first, listen to O, I Need All the Love (download). Josh Rouse (born March 9, 1972) is a singer-songwriter best known for his folk-pop songs. Throughout his childhood he moved around from state to state with his parents never staying in one place long enough to find a true home. After moving around from place to place, he moved to Nashville, with the intention of attending college and getting a degree. Shortly, after beginning college, however, he dropped out and met musicians from around the area and began his recording career. In 1998, he released his debut album Dressed Up Like Nebraska under the Rykodisc sub-label Slow River.

Josh Rouse - The Happiness Waltz Sonically, The Happiness Waltz takes a trip back into Rouse's early-2000's period. Lyrically, The Happiness Waltz is very much an album in the present, featuring some of Rouse's most personal songs to date. The album is filled with Rouse's thoughtful, delicate and infectious pop craft, a sound that has become his signature. The subtle grooves of "It's Good To Have You" and "Julie (Come Out Of The Rain)" blend seamlessly with the poignant "The Ocean" and "Our Love" and the jovial "A Lot Like Magic" and "City People and City Things"
