Ciaran Lavery Lyrics. Let Bad In". I'll sleep alone tonight Just like I did when I was a child And in the morning I'll wake And I'll take my flight And I'll run so hard and I'll run so fast That I'll run right back into my past Maybe I'll be the man I want to be Maybe I'll take the. path that was briefly shown to me Where I let bad in Where I could let bad in Once you let bad in you cannot close the door.

Let Bad In is Lavery’s second album of beautifully turned-out songs. There’s introspection in the wash for sure, but also tough edges, soulful swing and enough astute production ideas to keep him healthy and mark him apart from the all the other sensitive lads with guitars. The nostalgia colouring the songs appealed to Lavery for several reasons. It’s always strange to see footage of yourself of old, he says. The other side of Lavery Last year, Ciaran Lavery teamed up with Derry producer Ryan Vail for a mini-album called Sea Legs, inspired by the Donegal coast. Working with Ryan was totally disconnected from the new album because those songs, apart from The Colour Blue, had been kicking around for a few years so that I’d forgotten about them. The process was so quick.

The plaudits kept coming in 2015, with the release of Sea Legs, a mini-album on which Lavery collaborated with electronica artist Ryan Vail, winning them a nomination for best album at the Northern Irish Music Prize
