Heart is a studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released in 2001 by Le Marais Prod. The album was recorded in 2001 at Barouf Studio and Studio Wolf with French producers FX Costello and Laurent Wolf, and was Lear's first album ever to be recorded entirely in France.
The song was solely written by Maurizio Sangineto under the pseudonym "Sangy", and produced by Roberto Gasparini. It was recorded in Sangy's studio in Vicenza, Italy. The song is an uptempo track with synthpop elements. The single was released through the now-defunct label Merak Music in Italy, with "Jungle Beat" on side B, which de facto was an instrumental version of the title song.

Lear, previously known as a Roxy Music album cover model and a protégé of Salvador Dali, appears here as a cabaret countess. Her best subversions hit a dancer's most salacious fantasies dead on. Most of these songs support their studied lewdness with absurdly different music, creating tangible friction (. "Alligator" - funk bottom, frothy violins on top) that makes Lear's tape-loop voice feel even naughtier. All of Lear's tempos assault disco norms, either as sleaze or ultra-fast high-energy.
The recording session took place in Vicenza, Italy. Jungle Beat" was released as the B-side, de facto an instrumental version of the title song. Both of them were non-album tracks. In the song's music video Amanda is dressed as an aborigine, with her tribal outfit resembling Tina Turner's look from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The clip pictures the singer dancing in a steppe, walking through the jungle as well as city streets.
