Peaches & Herb are an American vocalist duo. Herb Fame (born October 1, 1942) has remained a constant as "Herb" since the duo was created in 1966; seven different women have filled the role of "Peaches", most notably Francine "Peaches" Hurd Barker (April 28, 1947 – August 13, 2005), the original "Peaches" who lent her nickname to the duo, and Linda Greene, the third "Peaches" who appeared on the duo's biggest hits "Shake Your Groove Thing" (1978) and "Reunited" (1979).

I was a fool to ever leave your side Me minus you is such a lonely ride The breakup we had Has made me lonesome and sad I realize I love you cause I want you back, hey, hey. I spent the evening with the radio Regret the moment that I let you go Our quarrel was such A way of learning so much I know now that I love you Cause I need your touch, hey, hey. Reunited And it feels so good Reunited Cause we understood

They had a Top 10 US single in 1967 with "Close Your Eyes. When Barker got married in 1970, Feemster left the music business and joined the police. He returned in 1975 with Linda Greene, who was recommended to him by the record producer Van McCoy. Shake Your Groove Thing" was released first, charting at in March 1979. When some radio stations started playing "Reunited" off the album, the song was quickly issued, going to in May. It was fitting that Peaches & Herb would be reunited, as they had a hit in 1968 with a song written by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff called "United. More songs from Peaches & Herb. The mastering on this cd is excellent. It's a shame polydor chronicles didn't just re-issue all the Peaches & Herb albums in their catalog with the same treatment, but at least we got this compilation. You get 5 out of the 8 songs from "2hot" on here, and these masters sound WAY better than the remaster of the album released on cd sometime around 2010 or so. The mastering on that cd is terrible--over compressed/limited and muddy low end, sacrificing mid-range clarity. You also get a nice dose of the "worth the wait" album on this comp, but would have been nice to have had the entire album with this same mastering.
