Sanctity was a heavy metal band from Asheville, North Carolina, United States. They formed in 1998 and have released one album, Road to Bloodshed, on April 24, 2007. They were in the midst of writing material for a second album, with an undisclosed new vocalist, which to fans' great chagrin did not have a chance to come to fruition before the band's dissolution in 2008

Asheville, North Carolina heavy metal quartet Sanctity somehow avoids the fickle finger of genre pigeonholing while still managing to illicit a veritable poetry-slam of artist comparisons. The group's Roadrunner debut, the brutal and mesmerizing Road to Bloodshed is a testament to the power of, well, Testament.

Road to Bloodshed Lyrics. Blindness from your own hand Fall from the edge, join souls with lives untold. Clear your mind of guilt, Pass it down the line Tithe away your fear, beg for a sign. Lost in shadows, lost in fate Dim as the road to bloodshed Scattered ashes, none remains Blessed or the damned. Bow to nothing, fall to your knees again Distant redemption, our way of life is death and sin. Find your way to nowhere, lose your face in darkness And live your life in despair.

Sound - 9 Sanctity brought back the kind of sound metal fans have been looking for since the late '80s. In fact, Road to Bloodshed is definitely a classic Trash album but it still sound like a record from 2007. As most of the great metal bands these days, the guitar work by Jared MacEachern and Zeff Childress is pretty fast and really heavy. J The drummer, Jeremy London, is doing a fine job, but nothing to be compared with Trivium, All That Remains or Shadows Fall drummers just to name of few. The bass player (Derek Anderson) is a big deception in the album though

Road To Bloodshed is the debut album by the American Thrash Metal band Sanctity. Sanctity was discovered by Matt Heafy (vocals and guitarist in Trivium) after he saw the band perform at a gig in South Carolina. Heafy gave Sanctity’s recorded material to A&R personnel at Roadrunner Records, and that led to a record deal for the band. Road To Bloodshed is indisputably one of the best records that will be released this year. A killer debut album like this doesn’t come along very often, and it promises well for future releases from this band! Line-up:, Jared MacEachern – Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Zeff Childress – Lead Guitar, Derek Anderson – Bass, Jeremy London – Drums.

Sanctity - Road to Bloodshed. I remember it like it was yesterday. Oh, wait, that was yesterday.
