I Love Rock 'n Roll is the second studio album by Joan Jett and the first with her backing band The Blackhearts. Soon after the first recording sessions at Soundworks Studios, original Blackheart guitarist Eric Ambel was replaced by Ricky Byrd.
Rock n Roll in History.
Like many musical styles, rock and roll originated in the black American neighborhoods. The time of his birth – 1950-ies. They started for America, a sort of intermediate stage between the Second world war, which left an imprint serious injury to many people, and the upcoming speed changes. In Memphis, Tennessee, in 1954 at the Studio, which is owned by Sam Phillips, gathered a few guys who were destined some time to rewrite the history of music: Scotty Moore, Billy black, Elvis Presley. Accidentally, fooling around and experimenting with sound, these guys have created a new religious direction, which instantly filled the TV and radio. The young people danced to rock and roll on all parties, spreading his first wave across America, then England, and then around the world.
April Fools' Day or April Fool's Day (sometimes called All Fools' Day) is an annual celebration on April 1, commemorated by practical jokes and hoaxes. The player(s) of the joke(s) or hoax(es) often exposes their action by shouting "April fool(s)" at the recipient(s). The recipient of these actions are called April fools. Mass media can be involved in these pranks that the following day are reported as such. Although popular since the 19th century, the day is not a public holiday in any country.
Although the chaotic sessions that spawned this album have passed into rock & roll legend and the recording's very genesis (as an out-of-court settlement between John Lennon and an aggrieved publisher) has often caused it to be slighted by many of the singer's biographers, Rock 'n' Roll, in fact, stands as a peak in his post-Imagine catalog: an album
April Fool’s Day. Is there a special day for jokes and tricks in your country? Do you like playing tricks on people? . When I was at school, April Fool’s Day was always good fun. We played tricks on each other and sometimes on the teacher. In fact, one year one of the boys at school put a bucket of water on top of the door and when the chemistry teacher came in, he got very wet! It was funny, but the boy got in big trouble! Phil. April Fool’s Day is a great idea. It’s easy to forget the actual date and I always believe everything I read in the newspapers or watch on the TV news. I usually believe the big national hoaxes and it always makes me laugh afterwards.
April Fools’ Day, also called All Fools’ Day, is celebrated every April 1st in the United States. While it is not officially recognized as a holiday, many celebrate by pranking, or pulling practical jokes on, their colleagues or by organizing larger-scale hoaxes. As April Fools’ is celebrated in different ways throughout the world, it is unknown exactly how the tradition originated. Traditional pranking often stops at midday in the United Kingdom, and if one pranks after this time, they themselves become the fool. Hunt-the-Gowk Day is Scotland’s version of the holiday, where one sends a messenger back and forth between another person, each time saying that they need to contact the other before the issue can be resolved.
When the Beatles cut old rock ‘n’ roll, they were recording music still in their performing repertoire, and besides, they never thought of the music as old. That makes it all the more bizarre that Rock ‘n’ Roll, John Lennon’s celebration of early American rock, comes out sounding like nothing but oldies - self-conscious musical attitudinizing about rock roots, and poorly done at that. In paying tribute to his musical-childhood background, Lennon sounds like he’s forgotten he used to perform material like this seven nights a week and that he used to record it several times a year. In making an album about his past, he has wound up sounding like a man without a past. If I didn’t know better, I would have guessed that this was the work of just another talented rocker who’s stumbled onto a mysterious body of great American music that he truly loves but doesn’t really understand. There was a time when he did. In This Article: John Lennon.
