Too Much Too Soon is the second album by the American hard rock band New York Dolls. It was released on May 10, 1974, by Mercury Records. The album was recorded earlier that year at A&R Studios in New York City with veteran producer Shadow Morton. He had been enlisted by New York Dolls frontman David Johansen after the group felt dissatisfied with the recording of their 1973 self-titled debut album
Paul Samuel Whiteman (March 28, 1890 – December 29, 1967) was an American bandleader, composer, orchestral director, and violist. As the leader of one of the most popular dance bands in the United States during the 1920s and early 1930s, Whiteman produced recordings that were immensely successful, and press notices often referred to him as the "King of Jazz"
The album below is more or less cohesive. I really just saved things that were appealing to my eye, meaning if it was something that I myself would wear or the outfit incorporated cool texture, patterns and colour combinations. Most of it is rugged/Americana, ". rew catalogue" kind of stuff with some suiting thrown in as well. I hope you enjoy it ya'll. Yo but just spring for the Scotch and Soda denim it's so noticeably different when someone is wearing Levi's vs some nice denim that isn't too much more expensive.
Occasionally, one is blessed by Providence to be able to benefit from some sage words of a master of arts. That blessing is multiplied when the master is one of both the artistic and spiritual realms.
Paul Whiteman's ''Experiment in Modern Music'' at Aeolian Hall in February 1924 has been remembered until now only because it introduced George Gershwin's ''Rhapsody in Blue,'' which Whiteman had commissioned for the occasion. Most of the rest of the program was an attempt by Whiteman to demonstrate the ways in which he was making ''discordant jazz'' palatable. The attempt was misguided, at least in part, because Whiteman's concept of the ''true form of jazz,'' even as late as 1924, was the original.
If there is such a thing as the "King of Jazz" the title belongs to Louis Armstrong, although that may not have been clear to most people in the 1920s. Whiteman is also criticized for not hiring African-American musicians to play in his band, but this argument ignores the commercial realities of the period. Paul Whiteman was clearly not a racist.
