Now in the independent circuit, Craig's Brother is back from hiatus with a brand new full-length album called The Insidious Lie, and they're picking up right where they left off with some fun, energetic and raucous pop punk. As a fivepiece band during their time with T&N, Craig's Brother has since lost two of their guys and added only one replacement. There's a lot about The Insidious Lie that brings to mind the old days of Craig's Brother. The album's opening track, "Freedom," starts things off with a bang, with some fast-paced music and high power vocals (for the record, the drums in this song may just shine the most out of the song's aspects).

The name "Craig's Brother" was bassist Scott's calling name in school, where his older brother, Craig Hrapoff, was a popular jock. It was picked at whim for the sake of printing on flyers and stuck. Being christians, albeit not in their agenda, they were signed to christian label Tooth & Nail, but never managed to see eye to eye with the label's staff, philosophies and business models, repeatedly clashing over expenditures and offenses taken by the Family bookstore outlets over the band's lyrics and perceived image. The album "The Insidious Lie" was finished and streamed for free on christmas day 2010, then released digitally in it's entirity in early 2011.

The Insidious Lie is Craig's Brother's third full-length album. com on Christmas Day 2010, and then released on January 24, 2011 as a digital download.

Craig's Brother released their first commercial album Homecoming on Tooth & Nail Records in 1998. By this time they had already released two demos: one self-titled cassette tape and a CD/LP called Keepin' It Real. Right around this time, the drummer, Heath Konkel, one of the few who had stuck with the band from the beginning, left to attend school. More members left, new ones were gained, among these a certain Steven, who also performs in the band HeyMike!, that split up around this time. The new album is titled 'The Insidious Lie'.
