Information for album "Braid": Burning Airlines.

Braid is an American emo band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1993. Following several early line-up changes, the band eventually settled on Bob Nanna on guitar and vocals, Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach on guitar and vocals, Dave Horan on guitar and vocals and Roy Ewing on drums until he was replaced in 1997 by new drummer Damon Atkinson. In 1998 the group released their third album, Frame & Canvas, to critical acclaim and is considered a staple of the late 90's emo movement.

Burning Airlines was a . music band, founded in 1997 that disbanded in 2002. It was started by former Jawbox members J. Robbins and Bill Barbot. Before Jawbox split in 1997, Robbins and Barbot had begun jamming with Robbins' former Government Issue bandmate and drummer, Peter Moffet. When Zach Barocas left Jawbox for New York, Moffet was briefly asked to fill in for Barocas.

When Braid asked Burning Airlines (DeSoto Records) to tour Europe with them in Fall 1998, both bands and their respective labels thought a split release would be a great idea. An even better idea was to have each band cover a song from the '80s that they liked. Braid covers the Burt Bacharach-penned, Naked Eyes song "Always Something There to Remind Me," while Burning Airlines covers Echo and the Bunnymen's "Back of Love. DeSoto Records released the now out-of-print 7" version of this single

Frame & Canvas (1998)Frame & Canvas1998. Lucky to be Alive (2000). Lucky to be Alive is a live album by American emo band Braid, released in March 21, 2000 on Glue Factory Records. The album features an hour of footage recorded during the band's show at the Metro in Chicago on August 21, 1999. The show was Braid's second of two performances at the Metro during a four-show goodbye tour before their planned disbandment. The album was released 7 months after the band had broken up, along with the compilation albums Movie Music, Vol. 1 and Movie Music, Vol. 2. Tracklist.
