The Sauce is the first solo release of Eddie Spaghetti of the American rock and roll band The Supersuckers. It is a collection of country drinking songs released in 2003 on Mid-Fi Records. The Best Of All Possible Worlds (K. Kristofferson). Bottom Dollar (B. Shaver/D. Sleepy Vampire (E. Spaghetti). Gotta Get Drunk (W. Nelson). Misery & Gin (John Durrill/Snuff Garrett). Blue Shadows On The Trail (R. Newman). According to Mr. Spaghetti, the album showcases his "impeccable song choices and uncanny ability to sing the drinking songs for drinkers who like to drink the drinks.

That air of lovable gracelessness carries over to Suckers' main man Eddie Spaghetti's first solo effort, a messy and grinning bucket of covers called Sauce. In his liner notes, Spaghetti trashes the whole idea of solo records, especially those that consist solely of covers. But in typical fashion, that doesn't stop him from doing his own. Sauce features quick and easy, largely acoustic versions of outlaw country faves from Kris Kristofferson ("Best of all Possible Worlds") and Willie Nelson (the mirthful and giddy "Gotta Get Drunk")

Eddie Spaghetti "Metal" Marty Chandler Christopher "Chango" Von Streicher. Dancing Eagle Rontrose Heathman Rick Sims Dusty Watson Eric Martin Scott "Scottzilla" Churilla Dan "Thunder" Bolton. Shortly after the album's release, Supersuckers regrouped and began touring with Thin Lizzy in Europe. This was followed by a tour of bars and clubs throughout North America with co-headliners Nashville Pussy. In 2014, the band released a new album, Get the Hell.
Eddie Spaghetti The Sauce (Mid-Fi Recordings) By: Alex Steininger The Supersucker's front man Eddie Spaghetti, who has led the band through AC/DC meets Motorhead coupled with The Ramones rock 'n' roll, as well as true, blue collar country (Must've Been High and it's live counterpart, Must've Been Live), has ventured off on his ow. The rest of the album is filled out with covers ranging from Willie Nelson ("Gotta Get Drunk"), Kris Kristtofferson ("The Best of All Possible Worlds"), Waylon Jennings ("Little Ol' Wine Drinker, Me"), and Steve Earle ("I Don't Want To Lose You Yet"). Spaghetti has blessed us with drinking music that should make you want to cry, but rather makes you want to drink and have fun while he delivers the runaway, and quite unexpected (and yes, a bit dark), party album to facilitate the good times. I'll give it a B. Ed James: Meet Ed James!
