Black Magic is an album by Swollen Members, a Canadian hip hop group. It is their fourth full-length release, not including Monsters in the Closet, their B-sides compilation. This album features guest vocals, including former group member Moka Only on two tracks. The album peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart. DJ Revolution - Scratches, track 3, 7, 13. Metty the Dert Merchant - Additional vocals, track 6. Russ Kine - Guitar, track 6. Darcy Ladret - Guitar, track 8; bass, track 13.
Swollen Members is a Canadian hip hop group from Vancouver, British Columbia, consisting mainly of Madchild and Prevail. Frequent collaborators include vocalist Moka Only (who was actually a member of the group for a short period of time in the mid-1990s when the group was formed, and then again from 2002 to 2005) along with the other former members Easy Roc & Zodak who were only in the group for a few years and producer Rob the Viking, an official group member since 2002.
On their fourth full-length, Vancouver-based Swollen Members return some to the harder-edged, melodic, intelligent hip-hop they've made their name with (thanks in some part to the appearance of Moka Only on two tracks).

Black Magic brings me back to that day, jumping in a crowd, completely blown away by a group I'd never heard of. The album captures the energy and spirit of Swollen Members' live shows (among the best you'll ever see) and some how translates that vibe and spits it out from car speakers, home stereos, and mp3 players . I first got into Swollen Members (Canada's illest hip hop export, all due respect to Canibus, Choclair & Kardinall Offishall) when I picked up 2003's Heavy. I enjoyed the album, thought there a few stand out tracks, but they were just missing the proverbial "something".
