Album This Is Fats Domino! Blueberry Hill Lyrics. I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill On Blueberry Hill, when I found you. The moon stood still on Blueberry Hill And lingered until my dream came true. The wind in the willow played Love's sweet melody But all of those vows you made Were never to be. Though we're apart, you're part of me still For you were my thrill on Blueberry Hill.

Domino insisted on recording the song over the vehement objections of producer-arranger Dave Bartholomew, who felt the song been done too many times already. Domino came up with the definitive version though, featuring his famous piano triplets and sly Cajun accent

I found my thrill On Blueberry Hill On Blueberry Hill When I found you The moon stood still On Blueberry Hill And lingered until My dreams came true. The wind in the willow played Love's sweet melody But all of those vows we made Were never to be. Though we're apart You're part of me still For you were my thrill On Blueberry Hill.

According to the Blueberry Hill Songfacts, Stock recalled that "One important publisher turned down Blueberry Hill, because, he claimed, blueberries don't grow on hills. I assured him I had picked them on hills as a boy, but nothing doing. So Chappell And Company bought the song and another hit was born.
