Rites At Dawn is the third album by Norwegian prog rock band Wobbler. Released by Termo Records in 2011. They have released three albums; Hinterland, (2005), Afterglow (2009) and Rites At Dawn (2011). Over the years Wobbler has gained more and more recognition, and it is fair to say that Wobbler is a household name amongst the progressive community worldwide. As of spring 2017 they have finished recording their fourth album.

Wobbler (2). Rites At Dawn ‎(CD, Album, Jew). Scarcely would you recognise anything in Wobbler's music hinting at their Norwegian origin. The closest you get is some nods in the direction of the Swedish band Landberk on a couple of tracks. Mostly it's all deliberate pilfering of Yes themes circa "Close To The Edge" and "Going For The One" much in the way that American bands like Starcastle and Styx did it back in the late 70s, sans the "pomp rock" element and more diverse instrumentation. There are also fragments of Gentle Giant in the maze of Yes fragments and some little bits of King Crimson.

Wobbler ended up signing a record deal with the American record label, The Laser's Edge. By now, Lars' vintage keyboard collection had grown and the recording of Hinterland began in June 2004. They did not use any midi, and only pre-1975 instruments were applied: for instance keyboards such as mellotron, hammond organ, minimoog, rhodes, clavinet, ARP, piano and harpsichord. After eight months of studio work the album was ready. In July 2005, Hinterland was revealed at one of their rare live performances, at the NEARfest gig.

Wobbler strikes again with Rites at Dawn, an album that symphonic rock fans should not miss, but that is highly recommendable to any progressive rock aficionados. Enjoy it! Tracklist: 1. Lucid 2.
