"Anyone For Doomsday?" was shelved two weeks prior to release (August 2001). "From a creative standpoint, the record didn’t feel ready." (Spider One, www.powerman5000.com)
A major part of the already manufactured copies were destroyed, but an unknown number still exist as well as promotional copies. The album went to internet stardom and was heavily downloaded worldwide. Especially the single Bombshell became very popular, being featured on numerous movie soundtracks.
A promotional version with different artwork was made available on the band's official website through Spider One's Megatronic Records in 2003, but is now out of print due to legal issues.
Nowadays, the album is fully available on iTunes and various streaming services.

It was pulled by PM5K frontman Spider One two weeks before the release date. Due to being too similar to previous work, the album was originally intended to merely be delayed and revamped. However, during this time conflicts began to arise causing longtime members Dorian 27 (Dorian Heartsong) and Al3 (Allen Pahanish) to leave the band.
The album however was taken down due to legal reasons.
Frontman Spider One is the younger brother of fellow metal musician Rob Zombie.

The appropriately titled Anyone for Doomsday? was doomed from the beginning. Worlds seemed to have collided and Powerman 5000, after originally postponing the release of Anyone for Doomsday?, ended up shelving the album. It's unfortunate because Anyone for Doomsday? isn't a half-bad album, with its quirky, staccato guitars and heavy electronic sounds
All of this over a soundscape of detuned, chunky guitar riffs, the frenetic vocals of vocalist Spider One, a pulsating rhythm section, and occasional influences of hip-hop, funk, and. And frankly, so does Anyone for Doomsday", and then some.

Powerman 5000 - Anyone For Doomsday? (2001). This Album didn't get release because a few band member quit the band. Not because of 911 thats fake news. Bnad members quit then spider one got new band members and release Transform. Vlayne C. 1 years ago. What The World Does is so underrated.
