He earned his degree in biology, but the Descendents still managed to become a pop-punk institution, turning stunted rage toward their miserable middle-class existence on "I'm Not a Punk" and "Suburban Home" to pave the way for Green Day and every Warped Tour band that followed.

Daniel Earl Hartman (December 8, 1950 – March 22, 1994) was an American musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Among songs he wrote and recorded were "Free Ride" with The Edgar Winter Group, and the solo hits "Instant Replay", "I Can Dream About You", "We Are the Young" and "Second Nature". I Can Dream About You", his most successful song, reached on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984.

The Rolling Stone Album Guide.

The "Rolling Stone Album Guide" may be ok for the casual fan, but for the rest of us, this is not good enough (even though many of us will purchase it anyway or have purchased it already, like myself). 5 people found this helpful. I'm as perplexed as anybody that artists like George Harrison (R&R Hall of Fame inductee for cripes sake!), Deep Purple, and Metallica were left out of this guide. True, no guide can include everybody and there will always be arguments about the omissions.

Dan Hartman new songs, albums, biography, chart history, photos, videos, news, and more on Billboard, the go-to source for what's hot in music. 1 of 7. We Are The Young. 2 of 7. Instant Replay. 3 of 7. Second Nature.
