Waiting for the Rain is a young adult novel by South African-born American writer Sheila Gordon, first published in 1987. It tells the story of two boys, one black and one white, growing up on a farm in South Africa during apartheid. As the boys mature, their friendship dissipates because the black boy seeks political equality while the white boy wants everything to stay the same.

A heart full of rain and memories I'm feeling the strain and missing you so desperately I need the shelter of your arms tonight oh baby, I need you by my side. I don't know why things go the way they do They just keep taking me down I can't deny I’m so into you And lost when you’re not around If I could hold you I could let go of the pain But tonight I’ve got a heart full of rain. Unkind words blindly spoken faith was broken And you walked away from the world Our love has created hope has faded Return your flame to this heart full of rain.

Rain Dogs is the eighth album by American singer-songwriter Tom Waits. It’s often considered the middle album of a trilogy of sorts, starting with Swordfishtrombones and ending with Frank’s Wild Years. It’s an unpredictable, thoroughly unique album that, really, could only have been made by Tom Waits  . The album was a stunning critical success (and is still universally regarded as a classic) and achieved some chart success, peaking at in the UK and in the US. Rain Dogs Q&A.

What gets done while you wait? Time has gone by, and you have nothing to show for it. The quote concludes by saying that life is about learning to dance in the rain. How many of those storms are you hiding from? While we all have our reasons or excuses, in the end, we either are doing things in the weather or we are not. That is our choice; to do or to do not. It is also our choice to enjoy it or to be miserable.

i've been looking for a song, for several years now. when i was jist shy of being a teenager, i knew it by heart, and forgot it when i grew up and life got in the way. it's a 90s country song, and i want to say that it was Lonestar but i'm lilely wrong about that. not during the chorus, but just before the first refrain, it says something about, "You were on your way up, as I was sinking down," or something like that. Looking for song, bouncy, acoustic pop song on the radio, female singer, chorus is minimalistic, goes "you make my heart beat right", with a fair bit of space between each word (I think these are the wrong lyrics, as googling them doesn't lead me where I want to be).
