Blood & Valour by BESTIAL WARLUST, released 31 March 2017 1.

Bestial Warlust have pretty much put Australia on the map when it comes, enticing outsiders to come in a take a look at the rest of the scene and have influenced other fellow Aussie bands to join them. Even though Bestial Warlust have broken up for a long while now, as long as people know about war/bestial black metal their legacy that they have left will still live on. War metal, for those who don’t know, could be one of the most extreme forms of black metal out there. Blood & Valour is an extremely, extremely raw and brutal album. There is just no other way to describe it. Every second, every minute passes is just filled with metal explosiveness which when you think about it, really gives the term war metal intent because Blood & Valour sounds definitely sounds like a war.

Bestial Warlust is one of the reasons why Australia’s scene is beyond amazing, and their influence is irrefutable because of classics like Vengeance War Till Death and Blood & Valour. Highlights Death Rides Out .Till the End I, the Warrior. Originally written for Nightmare Reality Webzine. The lyrics here almost feel subdued compared to some of the previous album, yet another field in which Bestial Warlust have improved. Within the Storm" is a 5:30 instrumental track, and while pretty good, it might not have suffered for vocals. Bestial Warlust is one of those bands that are timeless to me. And while Blood & Valour doesn't quite live up to "Vengeance War 'till Death", it's still a brutal, overpowering slab of raw-as-can-be black metal. The production isn't by any means great, but it isn't as crappy as everyone makes it out to be.
