Straight Up spawned two top 20 Billboard singles – Day After Day, which peaked at in December of 1971, and Baby Blue, which topped at in March of 1972. Airwaves is an album released by British rock band Badfinger in 1979 on the Elektra label (a sister label to Warner Bros. Anticipated as a comeback album for the group at the time, expectations were not quite realized, as the "group" now consisted of just the duo of Tom Evans and Joey Molland, accompanied by guitarist Joe Tansin and various session musicians.

Wistful Yearning Bittersweet Innocent Melancholy Poignant Reflective Rousing. Come and Get It: The Best of Badfinger. A well-chosen 21-track best-of, wisely emphasizing their melodic, tender side rather than their oft-pedestrian hard rockers, Come and Get It draws from all four of their late-'60s and early-'70s Apple albums, although the absence of "We're for the Dark" from No Dice is a significant omission.

Evans, along with longtime member Joey Molland, tried one final time to lift the reunited Badfinger off the ground with 1981's 'Say No More. It's a bit sturdier than 'Airwaves' (see No. 9 on our list of the Top 10 Badfinger Songs), and its only single, 'Hold On,' managed to climb to No. 56, their best showing in almost a decade. The album stiffed, and Evans took his own life in 1983 at the age of 36. 7. 'Maybe Tomorrow'. From: 'Maybe Tomorrow' (1969)

A robust segment of 1971’s Straight Up kicked off the show, retaining the album’s sequencing as it moved from the steady opener Money to the plump chug of Flying. Molland struggled to compete with his accompaniment, his 69-year-old’s singing game but craggy, but did his part with limber guitar licks, drizzling them across the stout throb of Suitcase as Greg Inhofer’s keyboards gave it a rattling honky-tonk edge.

Joey Molland is the last remaining original member of BADFINGER - Apple Records' greatest recording act, after The Beatles themselves.
