The Annie Lennox Collection is the first greatest hits compilation by British singer-songwriter Annie Lennox. It was released on 9 March 2009 and also contains two newly recorded songs, "Shining Light", originally a single by Ash, and a cover of Keane's rare B-side "Closer Now", retitled "Pattern of My Life". The artwork was shot by rock singer Bryan Adams. Finishing out her contract with Sony BMG, Lennox released the compilation album The Annie Lennox Collection.

October of 2008 already saw a Best of Annie Lennox hit the streets in Europe, and in early 2009 those of us Stateside get the Annie Lennox Collection, which boasts enough hit singles to keep the punters happy, as well as a few keen B-sides to make the late-coming collectors to Lennox's work pick this up as well.

It was eventually released in the United States on 17 February 2009 by Arista Records and in the United Kingdom and Europe on 9 March 2009 by RCA Records.

After a decade of major international success as part of Eurythmics, Lennox began her solo career in earnest in 1992 with the release of her first album Diva. A multi-platinum success, she has since released five further solo studio albums, three of them being covers albums (including a Christmas-themed album) and also a greatest hits collection.
