Desire for Freedom was singer/songwriter Jim Diamond's second studio album. Released in 1986 it featured a wide range of styles such as heartfelt ballads and stirring rockers. Singles that came from this album were "Hi Ho Silver", "Young Love (Carry Me Away)", "Desire" and "So Strong". It is currently out of print, though most tracks appear on The Best of Jim Diamond. Double Crossed was Jim Diamond's solo début album in 1985. The album featured Diamond's first three solo singles "I Should Have Known Better", "I Sleep Alone at Night" and "Remember I Love You". The album was dedicated to Diamond's father who had recently died. Diamond would later write "Hi Ho Silver" as a tribute song to his father. Hi Ho Silver" was featured on Diamond's second solo album Desire For Freedom. The album was reissued on 23 March 2009 through Cherry Pop Records.

Jim Diamond sings I Should Have Known Better on Top of the Pops in 1984. In the same year Diamond went to No 1 again with the celebrity ensemble The Crowd on You’ll Never Walk Alone, a charity record for families of the victims of the Bradford City stadium fire. In 1986 his second solo album, Desire For Freedom, delivered the No 5 hit Hi Ho Silver, a song commissioned for Boon, starring Michael Elphick, and featuring yet another of Diamond’s catchy choruses, this time set to a briskly pumping reggae beat.

Jim Diamond is Singer/Songwriter Jim Diamond's self-titled and third studio album. Diamond was assisted by old friends Graham Lyle and Chris Parren, who had worked with him on previous albums. The album featured tracks like "Broadway" (which was released as a single), "Could Have Fooled Me" and "Second Chance". The Last Time" was also released as a single ("Miracles" was the B-Side. At least two tracks features Diamond's PhD partner Tony Hymas on keyboards, their first together since their split in 1983 and last until 2006

Info Desire For Freedom was singer/songwriter Jim Diamond's second studio album. It was manifest that his insane purpose was to ascend them. The desire for freedom must have been strong within him! Wriggling to an upright position against the newel-post, he looked up at the great height which he had to climb and sighed; but there was no dimming of the light in his eyes. Lettris is a curious tetris-clone game where all the bricks have the same square shape but different content. Each square carries a letter. To make squares disappear and save space for other squares you have to assemble English words (left, right, up, down) from the falling squares. Boggle gives you 3 minutes to find as many words (3 letters or more) as you can in a grid of 16 letters.
