While Rasta Revolution contains the duplicate cuts "400 Years" and "Duppy Conqueror" from African Herbsman and is from roughly the same early-'70s period, there is a distinctly mellow feel to the record. Souful and subdued bass-led roots tracks are the foundation here, as exemplified by the pulsing "Try Me" and the playful yet stinging "Rebel's Ho. Produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry, Rasta Revolution contains some tracks that rank among the best music Bob Marley & the Wailers were to produce. While not quite as consistent as African Herbsman and Catch a Fire, Rasta Revolution captures Bob Marley & the Wailers at their peak.

Rasta Revolution is a compilation album by Bob Marley & The Wailers released by Trojan in 1974. It consists of most of Soul Rebels, as well as the 7" version of "Duppy Conqueror", recorded during the album's sessions (although an alternate version appeared on Soul Revolution instead), and "Mr. Brown", an alternate version of the former. Bob Marley and the Wailers was a Jamaican reggae band led by Bob Marley. It developed from the earlier ska vocal group. ob Marley and the Wailers performing at Crystal Palace, London (1980).
