New Traditionalists GREAT album, TERRIBLE sound on the 2006 "remastered" CD! The sound is so muddy and flat (no treble, just dull bass) that I can't believe it's a legitimate record company issue. New Traditionalists suffers from a bad reputation of "Oh, this is where Devo sold ou. Au contraire! Yes, they drop much of the sarcasm and just come right out and say what they mean ("Through Bein' Cool"), but musically, this is the equal of Freedom of Choice.

Beautiful World" is a song by the American new wave band Devo, written by Gerald Casale and Mark Mothersbaugh. It appears on their fourth studio album New Traditionalists. Most of the songs on New Traditionalists are darker and more direct than on previous Devo albums. The exception to this is "Beautiful World," whose message seems optimistic at first but changes as the song progresses. This is made even clearer by the song's promotional video.

JUST DO IT
Fun, but that can only take you that far. Nothing to write home about actually.

juliano.zuca Fun, but that can only take you that far. Nothing to write home about actually. It's a beautiful review you've written, a sweet romantic review.
The Sphinx of Driz
Does anyone know anything about a misprint of the 7" here? I have the BSK 3595, EP-3595 US pressing from 1981, the single has (un)fortunatly another song on it than "working in a coalmine" from DEVO. I've tried recognizing it with the Shazam app with no luck. the songs sounds a bit soft country like.

Hi - I just picked uo an intact package of this album, the Coalmine single is ok on mine - would you like to sell the single you have at all? Cheers, Greg
Braswyn
