Produced by Tim Herb Alexander, Larry LaLonde, Les Claypool & 1 more. Album Frizzle Fry. Frizzle Fry Lyrics. Hello, all you boys and girls I'd like to take you to the inside world It's quite an irregular place to be But never fear, you're safe with me Well, maybe. Golden hair of macramé Against the face that's cut from stone The white porcelain's screaming, "Ayie!" Thank God the boy's not alone.
Frizzle Fry is the first studio album recorded by the band Primus. Suck on This, a live album, preceded its release. Released in 1990 on Caroline Records, it features the band's first single and minor radio hit "John the Fisherman". It was remastered in 2002, after the original had been out of print for years, and was released on Prawn Song Records.
But whether it's due to Claypool's reedy, whacked-out voice or the fact that just about every song seems like it could be a soundtrack to a moshpit gone wild, something about Frizzle Fry is ultimately and perfectly of its time and place. The tightly wired and wound lope of "John the Fisherman" probably remains the most concentrated blast of them all, but nods should also go to the grinding march/stomp "Too Many Puppies," with its wry and worried vision of an overcrowded future, and the equally slow death crunch of "The Toys Go Winding Down.
Primus: the quirkiest band to ever grace the metal scene. Some people may not even think they belong in the genre. No matter what they really are, they still make amazing music, and this album is no exception. If you've heard anything about the band at all, it's probably about Les Claypool's incredible skill on the bass. This is the reason that everyone listens to the band, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the band still doesn't have plenty of time to impress the listener.
Primus released a live album called Suck on This in 1989, but Frizzle Fry is their official studio debut. Primus is one of those bands that falls under the catagory Aquired Taste. Either people love them or people hate them. Frizzle Fry is not an album I listen to very often.
Frizzle Fry is the debut studio album by American rock band Primus. Category: A. Release date: February 7, 1990.
