The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want He makes me down to lie Through pastures green he leadeth me the silent waters by With bright knives he releaseth my soul He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places He converteth me to lamb cutlets For lo, he hath great power, and great hunger When cometh the day we lowly.
Pink Floyd have been known to perform and/or record a number of songs and instrumentals which have never been officially released on a single or album. Only those whose existence can be reliably confirmed are listed here. Bootleg recordings of the majority of below listed songs exist. Several previously unreleased songs appeared on The Early Years 1965–1972 box set in November 2016, which marked their first official release.
Pink Floyd 1967 Music/lyrics: Barrett(?) Recordings were made of this song, but it has never been released. Syd Barrett 1974 (?) Syd Barrett recorded at least 3 versions of a blues, probably meant for a third solo-album. A Pink Floyd blues, performed at the bands concert in Falkonerteatret, Denmark, September 25, 1971. A recording from the concert was made and has been released on the bootleg albums:'Copenhagen' and 'Live In Denmark'. Pink Floyd has performed quite a few more or less improvised blues songs, which can be hard to differ. Lyrics/Music: Barrett. Early Barrett song recorded on the first demotape late 1965. The band did not yet have the name Pink Floyd and guitarist Bob Klose was part of the band at the time. Chooka-chooka chug chug.
The discography of Pink Floyd, a British progressive rock band, consists of fifteen studio albums, three live albums, nine compilation albums, four box sets, five extended plays, and twenty-seven singles. Formed in 1965, Pink Floyd initially earned recognition for their psychedelic or space rock music, and, as they evolved, for their progressive rock music. They are known for philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, innovative cover art, and elaborate live shows.
Pink Floyd were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. By 2013, they had sold more than 250 million records worldwide. The last Pink Floyd studio album, The Endless River (2014), was recorded without Waters and based almost entirely on unreleased material. David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, Roger Waters, Syd Barrett. A look of terminal shock in your eyes Now things are really what they seem No, this is no bad dream. There is a lot of evidence that the album Animals may have some basis on George Orwell’s novel Animal Farm. Roger Waters is known to be an Orwellian, much of The Wall contains references to Orwell’s novel 1984. In Animal Farm, the sheep were the animals that would burst blindly into a chant of Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad.
