The British quartet Culture Club were one of the most commercially dominant groups of the early-’80s new wave era, and their fey, romantic glamor and subtle soul-music touches helped open the door for the New Romantic subgenre. The group broke up in 1986, partly because of frontman Boy George’s heroin addiction, but they’ve gotten together a few times since, for tours and for the 1999 reunion album Don’t Mind If I Do. According to the Daily Mirror, Hannah Spearritt, Paul Cattermole, Jo O'Meara, Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee and Bradley McIntosh are also planning a massive new tour together.
