Gabriel "Gabi" Delgado-López (born 18 April 1958 in Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain), commonly known as Gabi Delgado, is a composer, lyricist and producer. He is best known as singer and co-founder, with Robert Görl, of the electronic band Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. Delgado-López grew up in Córdoba. Producer – Conny Plank, Gabi Delgado, Stephan Wittwer. Tenor Saxophone – Gerd Dudek. Trombone – Bernt Lankamp. Gabi goes solo with a very strange and addictive effort. Conny Plank, one of DAF trademarks, is the producer of this hybrid stuff, melting synthetic pop and live funk, for a kind of "exotic" concept. It is sweaty, it is spooky, it is unique. i bought this in 1984 and still shivers when listening. Ill fanfare sounds, brazilian guitars, afro-cuban percussions, luscious female backing vocals, slapped bass, gabi singing in english, spanish, sexier than ever. highlight: the tittle track "Mistress".
