Kick Out The Twang’ is an album that barely lets up from start to finish: from opening track ‘Take The Last Train to Clarksville’ with its distinct guitar sound, pedal steel and shuffling drums, all the way through to closer ‘Darlin’ I’m Coming Home’ the band keep the energy high and the songs upbeat with vocalist Tombo leading the charge throughout with. be at the forefront making it clear that Speedbuggy USA are both a great band, and great songwriters. The aforementioned energy throughout the record is interspersed with very few moments where the speed lets up, however, when the band do slow things down, they pull that off with the same level of expertise as the faster tracks, again, allowing their songwriting ability to be in the spotlight.

South of Bakersfield. Speedbuggy USA is a country-punk band that takes both elements of its sound very seriously. Guitarist Steve Kidwiler, drummer Pat Muzingo, bassist Brady Sloan, and singer Timbo first released Cowboys & Aliens in 2000, offering little more than country-fried punk and a sneering attitude. But by 2002 they had embraced their country side, releasing the Round Up EP as a sign that they aren't making fun of the genre, they genuinely enjoy playing it. ~ Bradley Torreano.
