Klaus Wiese is truly the ambient mastermind, surpassing both 'soft' ambient masters (. Brian Eno) and 'harsh' ones (. His aim is neither to just accompany your activities as background sound nor to oppress you into a world of desolation and negativity. No, his purpose transcends modern hecticism and its pathologies and is instead oriented towards the Sublime, the Absolute, the Principle (according to Coomaraswamy's metaphysics). He attributed his unique sound to being a recording mixer and engineer, saying, "Because of all the technology now you can make music yourself and a lot of people are doing that now. Unified by a Wall of Sound-style production, the album comprised Wilson's "pet" sounds.
