Hits is a compilation album by American pop-punk band New Found Glory, released on March 18, 2008 on Geffen Records. The album includes eleven of their most famous songs and one b-side. The first track, "Situations", was written for an MTV promotion, but was never used. In June 2007, the band decided to release it through AbsolutePunk. net to promote their appearance on that year's Warped Tour.

New Found Glory is the eponymous second studio album and major-label debut by the American pop punk band of the same name. It was produced and mixed by Neal Avron and released on September 26, 2000 through Drive-Thru and MCA Records. Featuring their breakthrough single "Hit or Miss", the album was later certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with shipments of 500,000 units.

Since 1997, New Found Glory has delivered brilliant Punk Power pop. Angst fueled by jangly guitars. What I expected from New Found Glory, I do wish their greatest hits covered more of their discography or at least had more from what it does cover. As/is, hardcore fans, like me, really have no reason to dive in and get this album. Thus, while the band is awesome, as/is their music, this compilation doesn't do them justice.

When pop-punk permeated the mainstream in the early 2000s, frenetic power chords, glossy girl-trouble choruses and spiked hairdos were as essential to MTV for a time as Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake. The group’s diehards have spent all winter waiting for March 22, which marks opening night for New Found Glory’s feverishly anticipated 20th anniversary tour. The trek features two of the band’s first six albums played top-to-bottom each night - the LPs played vary from show to show - and the prolific formula has forced band members back to the lab.

But while no example of New Found Glory's glossy pop-punk bravado ever actually reached they've clearly managed to write and record a number of enjoyable songs over the years, whether applied with the guilty pleasure tag or not. Hits opens with "Situations," which was recorded around the same time as their 2006 snoozefest, Coming Home. Luckily, it's far better than the entirety of that album, with a bounce and vigor that was largely vacant there
