The sound of the album was largely a combination of death metal and thrash metal, with a minor black metal influence from Eric Peterson's side project, Dragonlord. Health issues and First Strike Still Deadly (2001–2004). Soon after the release of The Gathering, lead guitarist James Murphy was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In August 2001, friends of Billy organized the Thrash of the Titans benefit concert, featuring seminal Bay Area thrash bands Vio-lence, Death Angel, Exodus, Heathen, and others. The show was headlined by a Legacy reunion, featuring Steve Souza on vocals, and former guitarist Alex Skolnick, who had not played with the band since 1992, and Greg Christian. By 2003, Chuck Billy had made a full recovery, and the band began performing live again with a new drummer, Jon Allen of Sadus. In 2004, the band changed their lineup once again for their summer festival appearances.

Clash of the Titans is a 2010 American-Australian action adventure fantasy film and remake of the 1981 film of the same name produced by MGM (the rights to which had been acquired by Warner Bros. The story is very loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus. Directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, and Ralph Fiennes, the film was originally set for standard release on March 26, 2010

Princess Andromeda is the daughter of King Cepheus, who has gained a victory against the gods. The vengeful god of the underworld, Hades, demands that Andromeda is offered as a sacrifice or he will unleash the Kraken against Argos. A desperate King Cepheus asks demi-god Perseus to find a way to defeat the Kraken. Perseus accepts the challenge because Hades was responsible for his family's death. He discovers that the way to kill the Kraken lies with getting the head of the gorgon Medusa. Genre: Adventure, Action, Fantasy. Actor: Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, Sam Worthington.

uk has reported that SLAYER will be continuing their farewell tour with a rebooted Clash Of The Titans tour, also featuring MEGADETH, SEPULTURA and TESTAMENT. Those three bands, along with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, took part in the original Clash Of The Titans tour in Europe in 1990. There was a different lineup for the . version of the tour, which took place in 1991 and featured three of the Big Four of thrash (MEGADETH, SLAYER and ANTHRAX) and ALICE IN CHAINS. SEPULTURA are the only band of the rebooted Clash Of The Titans that didn’t participate in the original tour, although according to now-former singer Max Cavalera, they were slated to be the opening act on the .

Clash of the Titans has two chief antagonists, the goddess Thetis (Maggie Smith) and her son Calibos (Neil McCarthy), who are the ones constantly getting in the way of Perseus and his true love. In Greek myth, Thetis was the goddess of water and mother of Achilles, but here she is the mother of a Calibos, a dude that was betrothed to Andromeda (Judi Bowker), but he screws it all up by pissing off Zeus. The blood drips out and transforms into three giant scorpions, that Perseus and his two remaining soldiers must fight. My question is why in the hell didn’t Calibos just take the head? Without it Perseus would die fighting the Kraken – so that seemed to be the better play here – but then again I’m not the son of a pissy goddess, so what do I know. Note: We see a soldier and Perseus each kill one scorpion, so apparently the third one said Fuck it and wandered off because we never see what happened to it.

The heavens raise hell. Clash of the Titans is one of the earliest films I can remember having watched it as a kid in a big theatre, not the multiplexes we have today, and I liked it so much, it probably ranks up there as one film that I've watched the most times, on television reruns, or off a recorded video tape. In fact, Clash of the Titans would find it difficult to beat the fun factor of the original film, and the modernized spin that Percy Jackson had to offer. There's little story here, and everything that happened was a sad excuse to get the story quickly moving onto the next big set action sequence.

Action, adventure, fantasy. Director: Louis Leterrier. Starring: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and others. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, Perseus and his warriors will only survive if Perseus accepts his power as a god, defies fate and creates his own destiny.

So nobody is gonna comment on the insane album art?
I was digging for old techno at Dr Freeclouds in 96 and Jeff and Ron both happened to be working that day . Ron walked the store with me picking out records . He handed me this record from behind the counter it was the Monday before they were putting it on the racks !! Every track is an amazing collabo with three awesome DJs/producers at the helm!! Highly recommend you pick this up. Not to mention the trippy spiral effects of the bside!
The neat thing about this picture disc is the black and white optical illusion that twirls around on the other side. You can see real melting visuals without any mind altering substances!! Look at it for 30 seconds and then look at your favorite insect book!8 ]
Playing with the Trigger is an awesome breaks track, which is Simply Jeff. The other two are hardcore but good for that genre, sampling Full Metal Jacket.
A1: Was a rather popular song in the Los Angeles hardcore scene at the time. One of the first hardcore tracks to use the famous vocals with the Drill Seargent & Private Pyle from 'Full Metal Jacket'. Although Ron D Core tends to play much faster hardcore from the UK, Germany & France (speedcore, terrorcore, breakcore), these tracks were produced around 175 to 185 BPM. B1: This was also quite popular in Los Angeles when hardcore was at its most popular from 1995-1998. Uses good samples of a porn flick that moan and scream, "Oh god yes, Fuck my ass" and uses a sample saying "More anal" as a really cool rhythmic pattern. Ron D Core is know here as the west coast hardcore porn king, it is said that he has one of the most vast collections of porn known to any DJ around the world. B2: This was a really cool breakbeat / chemical track produced mainly with Simply Jeff who is a very popular west coast breakbeat / chemical DJ. Uses the well-known sample from N.W.A. - Eazy-E; "Playin' With The Trigger." This record really brings back memories of my old hardcore days in Los Angeles!!! Thumbs up Ron!
