Notes"When Keith was looking for a studio for the Stones to rehearse for the '81 tour, he visited Long View Farm, Brookfield, MA, in May that year. To get a feel for the room, he decided to record a few songs, sat at the piano, just Keith, a bottle of gin and some good friends, he ran through nine songs. The results were amazing, his beautiful piano playing & the vulnerability in his voice show another side to the 'human riff', captured on Ampex 456 master tape by Gil Markle, the studio owner.
The last four songs are from an earlier attempt at putting these tracks down, recorded while awaiting trial in Canada '77 at Sounds Interchange Studios, Toronto, March 12th and 13th. Ian Stewart helped out on these ones.
All songs properly recorded studio recordings. All killers, no fillers!"
Dedicated to the memories of Johnny Thunders, Gram Parsons & Nikki Sudden

Originally co-lead guitarist with Keith Richards, Jones had become less interested in electric guitar as an instrument, and on this album he only contributed electric guitar on one track on the American release, and none on the British version. As he would do for this, and several subsequent albums until Jones's dismissal from the band, Richards recorded nearly all of the guitar parts himself, both lead and rhythm, and on one song, "She Smiled Sweetly", he performed all of the instrumentation except percussion and lead vocals. Sessions for the album began on 3 August 1966 and lasted until the 11th at Los Angeles' RCA Studios during the Rolling Stones' 1966 American Tour. David Hassinger was the engineer for the album.
Album: Non-album single. Richards wrote this acoustic blues in Paris, on the one-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. I tried to translate it back to folk music," he said, "as basically just a disaster and not anything political. He played piano on the song, which displays his love of classic pop tunesmiths like Hoagy Carmichael and Cole Porter, while Jagger added simpering slide guitar. Bare your breasts/And make me feel at home," Richards sings. You and me, we're like all the rest/And we don't want to be alone. Asked about that lyric a decade later, he said, "I like it better to make you laugh in one line and make you cry in the next. So Alone is a 1978 album by Johnny Thunders, then leader of The Heartbreakers and formerly lead guitarist for the New York Dolls. with the Heartbreakers, Thunders returned to the studio and recorded his first true solo album, So Alone.
Keith Richards promised that the album the Rolling Stones have been working on for two years will come to fruition in a February 2018 interview. Guitarist Keith Richards thinks it will still be a while before it sees the light of day, but he promised it's on the way. I’m going to sound like Trump - ‘It will happen; don’t worry about it’ - but it’s in the early stages, Richards told The Wall Street Journal. We have some stuff down, which is very interesting. It’s more difficult for us to write together the further apart we are, but it also has its benefits in that we come back to it from a different angle.
Keith Richards Announces First Solo Album in 23 Years: Get the Details. Trouble" comes from Richards' new solo album Crosseyed Heart, due Sept. 18 on Republic Records. In addition to vocals, Richards provided guitar, piano, and bass for the album. He co-wrote the majority of Crosseyed Heart's songs with co-producer Steve Jordan. Richards has not announced a tour behind Crosseyed Heart, but since the Rolling Stones recently wrapped their North American Zip Code tour, perhaps one could be in the cards
