50 Words for Snow is the tenth studio album by English singer-songwriter Kate Bush. It is the second album released on her own label, Fish People. It was Bush's first all-new studio album since Aerial (2005). A single, "Wild Man", was released as a download. 50 Words for Snow was released on 21 November 2011, Kate Bush's second album of the year after Director's Cut. The album consists of seven songs "set against a background of falling snow" and has a running time of 65 minutes.
50 Words for Snow is the sixth and title track from Kate Bush’s second album of 2011, featuring Stephen Fry in the role of Professor Joseph Yupik. It is a playful spin on the myth that Eskimos have such a large amount of different words for snow.

Anyone like myself who found that album so captivating is likely to have similar feelings about this one too. 50 Words For Snow whilst not exactly what you'd call a concept album does have a theme running through it and not surprisingly that theme is snow
