I can't sit here while I go nowhere Chase my dreams through the polluted air Walking on a wire Running out of time There's no room in this ol' heart of mine. Bill collectors waiting down the hall Neighbors scream And crack the bedroom wall. Nerves jump off the pavement Passion hits the street Anger's cookin' in the city heat. World's too crazy I can't take no more I won't stay here locked behind the door. Baby, stir it up Got to break it up now When I think about tomorrow . It peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100 and on Billboard’s Black Singles chart in 1985. This was one of two tracks that Patti recorded for the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. com/watch?v xtOoeDPc9uI. Patti LaBelle is the debut solo album by singer Patti LaBelle, released in 1977. The first album LaBelle recorded after sixteen years fronting the band Labelle (formerly Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles), it is notable for the dance hit, "Joy to Have Your Love", the classic gospel-inspiring ballad, "You Are My Friend" and the Angelo "Funky Knuckles" Nocentelli mid-tempo number, "I Think About You". Stir It Up" is a song composed by Bob Marley in 1967, written for his wife Rita, and first made popular by Johnny Nash. Nash's recording hit the top 15 in both Britain and America in 1973. When Marley returned to Jamaica from the United States in 1967, The Wailers started their own label, Wail'n Soul'm records, and released their first independent single, "Freedom Time", backed with "Bend Down Low".
