A live video of AC/DC featuring Bon Scott, with the song Problem Child. From the cd Let There Be Rock.

Disc 2 - Problem Child - The Hippodrome, Golders Green. Other productions from AC-DC.

The best AC/DC album! Listen to this and Back in Black song for song. Sadly the last album before Bon Scott's death, "Highway to Hell" lifted AC/DC's popularity largely. I believe "Highway to Hell" is the signature song of the band and certainly their most popular, but "Back in Black" is probably better. There's even a recycled song on here: "Problem Child", which is from AC/DC's third studio album (if you live in Australia, anyway) "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" (try saying that five times fast). But the best tracks on here have been, are currently, and always will be the extraordinary songs that are "Let There Be Rock" and "Whole Lotta Rosie". Best AC/DC and one of the best Albums of all time in my opinion. Features the unique edgy Rock and Roll sound only heard from AC/DC all the way through. AC/DC doesn't do bad songs, this makes album makes no exception!

The third AC/DC album brought a title track that became a staple of their live set, still a centrepiece performance on last year’s shows with Axl Rose. It was also an illustration of another facet of Scott’s persona – the confrontational, violent one. That was a feature of other songs on the record – Problem Child and Squealer (the latter featured one of the most unpleasant lyrics Scott ever wrote: She said she’d never been, Never been balled before, And I don’t think, She’ll ever ball no more, Fixed her good )  . I’ve written before that 1978’s Powerage is the best AC/DC album, and I’ve had no cause to change my mind.

AC/DC 1973-1980: The Bon Scott Years", a richly illustrated guide to the glory years of Australia's finest musical export, will be published on November 14 by Jawbone Press. To fans and critics alike, the years 1973 to 1980 - the Bon Scott era - are the most significant of AC/DC's five-decade career. In a prolific and frequently brilliant run, they recorded six studio albums, established a diehard fan base that stretched from Australia to Europe to North America, toured relentlessly, and created no small amount of controversy and chaos

Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott (9 July 1946 – 19 February 1980) was an Australian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, best known for being the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Australian hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death in 1980. Scott was born in Forfar, Scotland, and spent his early years in Kirriemuir. He moved to Australia with his family in 1952 at the age of six, living in Melbourne for four years before settling in Fremantle, Western Australia

Let There Be Rock 09. Problem Child 10. Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be 11. Whole Lotta Rosie 1. Vintage, classic, Bon Scott era AC/DC all sourced from high quality broadcasts - two solid hours of killer AC/DC. John Fogerty - Through The Years (Best of Pro Shot).

AC/DC Albums Ranked Worst to Best. Ultimate Classic Rock. Then there were albums like 1978's Powerage, which stands now as a lasting example of Scott's way with words. Sad goodbyes have altered the band's trajectory, including the departure of Bon Scott after 1979's Highway to Hell, and of Malcolm Young after 2008's Black Ice. But Angus Young and company have kept going, evolving through a series of recordings that were seen as comebacks, including 2014's Rock or Bust, Black Ice, 1988's Blow Up Your Video and 1980's much-heralded Back in Black, Johnson's debut after Scott's sudden passing.

The best album by AC/DC is Back In Black which is ranked number 102 in the overall greatest album chart with a total rank score of 25,231. AC/DC is ranked number 68 in the overall artist rankings with a total rank score of 46,524. Many popular bands like Metallica, Van Halen and Iron Maiden have been influenced by AC/DC. The Bon Scott albums are some of the greatest rock albums of all time. The Brian Johnson albums are great too but Bon really added something special to those albums. I recommend digging a little deeper into their discography because they have so many great songs besides the hits that aren’t well known. Best album: Let There Be Rock Best song: Whole Lotta Rosie.
